Wedding Bells for Angelina and Brad
Us Weekly and others are reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are, at long last, engaged to be married.
According to Us “Angelina Jolie debuted a brand new ring on her finger — an engagement ring — at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries on Wednesday.” Longtime jeweler to Jolie, Robert Procop, reportedly designed the ring. A spokesperson for Procop told the magazine ”I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.”
The engagement has apparently been in the works for awhile, as the ring took nearly a year to complete. Procop told The Hollywood Reporter “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger.”
The main stone is described as having an “elongated tablet shape.”

Jolie and Pitt became acquainted during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005 (and there was much scandal when Pitt divorced Jennifer Aniston shortly thereafter). The Jolie-Pitts have three adopted children and three biological children. Both are active in charitable work in their home city of New Orleans and around the world.
